The Future of Lionism in Europe – Different and United in Service
Our theme relates to the challenging times we are in right now. During this unique symposium you can expect many sessions with interesting topics, not just for our Lions and Leo leaders but for all club members. For your convenience we will have all sessions translated (subtitles) in 4 languages (English, German, French and Italian).
Please visit the program page and find your preferred sessions. Top presenters from around Europe and Lions leaders from around the world are sharing their experience and knowledge with you. During the sessions you will be able to life chat with the speakers.
We will have musical contributions from former participants of our European Lions Music Contest Thomas Kuti, a platform where young musicians can perform for a wide audience.
Lions want to have fun!
After the symposium we will hold a Virtual Wine party! Join us, bring your own preferred glass of wine, white or red or rosé – it does not matter. Very well-known wine experts from several European countries who are also Lions will talk about their favourites, you certainly want to be there.
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE CHALLENGE
Win the Lions Environmental Service Challenge award!
As Service is our core, we will have a challenge; Join us in this Lions Environmental Service Challenge in the second week of September.
We want to challenge all European Lions Clubs and Leo Clubs to realize an Environmental Service Project for their community on the weekend of September 19 to 20, 2020. Plant a tree, clean a park, collect old phones, pick up plastic, etc. to support one of our major global causes: Environment.
There is much more for European Lions and Leos about Service:
We want to challenge all European Lions clubs and Leo clubs ...
... to publish pictures and/or videos of Environmental Service Projects on our special Facebook group European Lions Virtual Symposium Service Challenge or send us an email through the Symposium web page and we will contact you.
... to make a donation during the free registration to the Symposium. We will use all available donations after the Symposium for European Environmental Projects. Each and every Lions Club or Leo Club in Europe will be able to apply for a grant out of this Fund for an Environmental Service Project.
Any surplus resulting from the voluntary contribution of MD and District, deducted the cost of the event, will be added to the Fund for the European Environmental Projects, where all European Clubs can apply for a grant, to increase the impact of club services. After the closure of the Symposium, all Clubs in Europe will be entitled to apply for a grant.
